LAKE IT CLEAN™ PLEDGE.
As a FlockStar, I pledge to take actions to help protect and preserve our waterways. I commit to:
2- REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE - I will minimize my plastic footprint and pledge to keep my waterways free of trash.
3- MIND MY YARD - I will use organic fertilizers and reduce pesticides to prevent harmful runoff from my lawn and garden when possible.
4- PRACTICE PROPER BOAT MAINTENANCE - I will ensure my boat is well-maintained to prevent oil, fuel, and chemical leaks. I will clean my boat and gear away from lake shores to prevent contaminating the water.
5- JOIN LOCAL CLEANUPS - I will participate in or organize shoreline and waterway cleanups to remove trash and debris, ensuring a cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy.
6- DISPOSE OF WASTE RESPONSIBLY - I will propertly dispose of household waste, such as motor oil, chemicals, and batteries, to prevent pollution from entering our water systems.

I was a member of the founding committee for the Minnesota Clean Marina program and now I'm casting a bigger net by building awareness that simple changes add up to cleaner waterways for us all.
